Understand Hazardous Material

Hazardous waste that is improperly managed or improperly disposed of can pose severe threats to human health and the environment. It's essential to keep the community safe, including the local wildlife, streams, or plants, by properly disposing of these types of products or materials.

The pop up dumpster bag cannot take certain materials, including toxic waste or hazardous material. We want to create a safe space for our collection drivers. If you have toxic materials that you would like to have removed, please leave them outside of the bag and give us a call! We'd be happy to help remove or suggest some alternatives to properly disposing of these materials.

Many toxins, such as mercury and lead, stay in the environment for many years and grow over time. Humans, animals, and plants can absorb these toxic substances by the food they eat, the air they breathe, or even the water they drink. Local communities are proactively recycling and disposing of these toxic wastes.

Communities can take charge locally by protecting their wildlife and population and keeping the environment safe. There will be a link to explain how your community works with these substances to dispose or recycle on your local government website. Many communities create events to recycle these types of wastes. Check your local community website for more information.
